was in Bunnings and notice they have a new pump in stock, don't know if anyone tried one but for $212 with 2 year warranty I wouldn't hesitate to buy one, might get one after the long weekend actually.
20 metre head 6 metre lift has a good frame and handle too.

Its about time!

Pity they are two stroke though, a nice little Onga Miniblaze clone would have been awesome!

Yeh true but the savings you get with a 2 these days is massive. My 2 stroke blower was $300 the 4 equivalent was $599

I'm all but over trying to how to set-up a electrical pump. Everyone's (who's did it) says just hook up this and clap that and do this. I just want water pumped, I don't care how it works...I think there are a lot of other people out there that don't want to build it either...just work it.

So for $220...I'll just be done with it and put up with the noise and weigh of a petrol pump. Thanks good fine G0lddigg. I was searching in my local Bunnings a month ago and all the petrol pumps were really expensive.

hi gold billyen I to looked at that pump in bunnings I went for the thornado on ebay 4 $209 give it run today its 40mm inlet and outlet it a good pumper surpiced how much water it put through the spray bar and free delivery to your or you can pick it up at Sydney weight about 13kg full petrol oil and water

I myself looked very hard at a two stroke came to the resolution that I did not want to breath in the smell of two stroke oil burning in the bush. LOL
That pump states 11,000 litres Ph. If you are building a Walbanker you will find it starting to battle to keep up with those specs.
Mind you it might make the grade but with the extra hassle of having to mix fuel,,, well my 2 cents worth.
Get a Thornado...

Its all good mate dont actually need one just convenient seems how im at bunnings twice a day. Might give one a try for a mini banker

I run my 2 strokes very lean mate keeps the smell down but with 5, 10 and 15 metre delivery hose its not an issue.

Running it lean will destroy your top end. I recommend motul 800 oil and follow manufacture guidelines

Saw a two stroke running on a YouTube vid, whinning whipper snipper in background no thanks, but would be good for long walk in sites

Make sure you always carry spare spark plugs .... 2 Strokes tend to foul plugs if you run the motor speed below it's designed powerband . So controlling the water flow may be tricky . Let us all know how you get on though , because that price is certainly tempting . I will be needing a pump sometime soon .

Lol they dont spumd any different to a 4 stroke mste. If you run either at full whack they will bith scream

I believe if you run the exhaust into the water the noise is cut by %75
Not %100 sure how this is done but definitely worth looking into.
Might have to run it into a chamber box then into the water
Cutting the 2 stroke by even %50 would be great.
I will try to work this out when I'm back on my next stint at home.

Hey Goldigg
I have got 4 strokes that after laying idle for years couple pulls and away they go,there is no argument 4 stroke is more reliable than 2 stroke.

Cheaper priced 2 stroke or 4 stroke pumps have not got the quality of parts of a expensive brand,e.g pistons ,cylinder, bearings.

I have several german 2 stroke chainsaws (stihl ,solo) that some are over 40 years old and still run great ,some have done an incredible amount of work,2 strokes are cheaper to rebuild as there are alot less parts in the engine. They generally wear out quicker due to the high revs.

2 strokes run best on the highest octane fuel you can get your hands on because they are designed as a high rev application motor.eg chainsaws, and applications where the engine needs to run at all angles even upside down.A 4 stroke wont work upside down .just like your car.

Years ago there wasnt the technology to get big horse power out of a small 4 stroke thats why in the beginning there was no 4 stroke whipper snippers or small pumps.

In my experience with small engines i would be surprised to see these pumps last more than 6 months used on a weekend basis, just like chinese chainsaws.Unless you have the ability to carry out repairs .

I would expect a 4 stroke honda pump to last well over 10 years
