anybody tell me what bullet this is

+1 to sjy120

Hard to tell from the pic without something in there for perspective but it looks to have a good sectional density.

Measure the diameter as precisely as possible.

5.56mm = .222, .22-250, .223 etc (less likely from the look)
6mm = .243, 6mm ppc
6.5mm = 6.5 swedish, some Japanese military rounds, Italian carcano

Doesn't appear to be any bigger than that from what I can tell

Can't tell you what it is with out a knowing measurement, can tell you it didn't hit it's target

i cant see rifling marks on that to indicate it was ever pushed up a barrel ?

maybe some old timer pried it out of a casing in 1907 and buried it with the intention of making a conversation piece on an internet prospecting forum one day ?

Its full jacket so it is military. Could be 5.56/223, 308/7.62/30 06/ other 30 cal. Too short to be 303

Plus that is a boat tail round, designed for longer range accuracy and stability.
