Hi all,
I am a freshie to this gold detecting fun and want to know - where on Earth do I start?
I am looking to get into this for a bit of fun and fresh air (plus the additional fun of mozzies and nature at its best/worst)

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Hello

As far as I can tell (also a noob) the best place to start would be on a tag along tour but they stopped the prospecting ones not too long ago. So the next best thing is researching the where and hows of it all, with follow up questions here. Just as an example, I am yet to do any prospecting and joined not long ago, and so far I have spent a fair chuck of everyday researching maps, tenements, laws and equipment but until I can get my feet on the ground i am researching it wont actually 'click', I dont think.
