another trip & another few more finds, thought some maybe interested also a few people have asked if my uncle may have had any maps.....problem is it was a surveyor and has maps all over the house and working out what is a work map and what is one he drew up for himself is the hard part,

anyway here's the books

Maate! Those old 'tecta books would be an absolute wealth of knowledge for a home-builder.. :p

Yep eventually, I might have flick through it first, I read one of his other books "the cattle King" years ago and it was a very good read
 
Prospecting for Gold is a very interesting book. Its a bit annoying in a lot of ways when you read about the free land they could explore and prospect on compared to us today :( .
One topic was cleaning up old stamper sites and how he decribed being able to find an ounce or so and calling it "tucker money" . An ounce today would certainly buy a bit more than tucker :)
