I went to the local council & spoke to the Mare about this discussion. He read the form & said a lot were quick out of the gates & there was a lot of jostling for position. His preference was for a couple of maidens to get a run to level up the fields. Of course, they would all need to be vetted so that there were no Fine Cotton type ring ins.

Also, he thought if this went on too much longer it could start a turf war, so perhaps a spell was in order in readiness for the spring carnival.
