Our little cocker spaniel went and tore his cruciate ligament 8.( so he's booked in for surgery at 8:30 tomorrow morning. And of course he just has to have the most expensive form of treatment (TLPO ) because he's young and active, so there goes the xmas fund by $3500.00 :(
But I believe that if you have a pet you have to be prepared to spend money on their well being, we wouldn't be without him :inlove:
And here's a couple of pics of him so you can see what he's like

Our Cocker called Nelson is 11 yrs old but I'm not telling him he's the senior in our household. You must have dog insurance for them as Vets charge like wounded bulls.
We love him to death-sorry about the choice of words.
We know all of his moves and vice versa especially around bedtime when he has to go out, has a drink first then about 10 mins. later he comes in and sits in front of me and gets his daily PAWS Osteo tablet-to him that is the end of the day. He jumps up on his bed and waits for us to go to bed then sneaks in and sleeps on the carpet in the bedroom.
Luv him to bits. Same colour as yours too mate.

Ditto with a recently deceased Kelpie dog. She used to jump off my balcony to come wait for me to get home at the front gate, but one day must have slipped and landed on bamboo, which went right through her stomach and out her back, just missing critical arteries.
A neighbour found her at my front gate (a 100m crawl) waiting for me. Got the vet involved, who then rang me at work and told me someone had "speared" my dog (still had the stick protruding from belly and back. I raced home, but halfway there (a 1.25 hour drive), I was called by the vet who asked me to get blood from somewhere near Frankstown (if I wanted her to live). I did - was packed in an esky. On arrival at the vet, they told me they could try to save her (but weren't confidant) or we could ship her to Werribee Vet Clinic (Melbourne Uni Training Hospital), but she would probably not survive the trip. An awkward decision. I asked them to operate (I wanted to be with her) which they did, and she survived - God only knows how. I think even the vet was surprised. Took me months of carrying her up and down stairs, and special medicins, vet visits, food, bedding and wound dressings. The $$$s were crippling at the time as I was going through a divorce, but I would do it again in a heart beat. Her name was Bundy.
