This converted cut down bowl cement mixer unit can classify , stratify , concentrate & self empty all at once ( dry or wet ) .
It will take all the material two or three fit men can shovel into it non stop ! just keep feeding it until every one is stuffed , final clean up is only about two pans worth
2nd photo shows the critical fine gold saver to send the heavies back into the mix before they can get over the outer lip .
3rd photo is some gold from dry material .

Hi all,

Outback, what a great idea :) nice gold, was it found using water or dry?

Good design, the fine gold director may need some more explaining! Do you get much fine gold in the tail out compared to what's in your hand?

I'll try an answer your questions ~~

Jim - I only use it dry .
Desman - That gold was before the sweep back bar was fitted , better now for tiny bits .
Slowflow - I made the trommel from scrap gal perforated plate .

There is a lot of gold in desert areas still to be had :)

OB .

Great idea. Is the mixer electric or petrol driven? How much material have you put through to get that ammount of gold?

Nice piece of gear, have seen one mounted on a trailer in dessert running of solar

Hi ,
It's electric 350watt motor , I run it from a cheap 1000watt petrol generator .

It was 20L buckets used ' probably only two average wheel barrows worth :)

Hi all,

What a novel idea. I guess we have more dry gold areas than wet ones most of the year so this piece of kit would come in very handy.

Nice gold there too Outback! Wonderful to see.

Looking forward to seeing the smaller hand-driven model in action once built.
All the best,
Shauno.

Have a spot in north east S.A. out in the desert , like most places it's been hit with detectors but there's still heaps of gold beyond there range in the dry creeks & run offs :D

OB.

Awesome I'm keen to get over to SA soon heard it's pretty much impossible unless you have property though

G'day outback, good to see you here
Looks like a great contraption, with a fair bit of thought put in. How does it compare to a standard dryblower?

my first thought was we cant use it because it wouldnt be legal . BUT

on the other hand its really just a modified trommel , so it would be okay to use as long as you feed it with a shovel by hand right ?

lol . i like it

:D
