Battery charging advice!

Even on a cloudy crap day it should be putting out at least an amp or two to cover the charging requirements of the 2200.
Controller is only PWM, but that's fine for something this size, you could hook that up to your start battery and connect a 12v charger for the 2200 battery. It would be preferable to use a second deep cycle battery though.
That way you don't need to run the generator.
 
Thanks Condor for explaining that in detail, i know diddly squat about batteries and amps and all the other lingo that goes with it. Occasional -panner my chargers are 6 volt. By what Condor just explained about the batteries ( if 10 hours use then equals 10 hours charge time), i think i`ve got it worked out, i`ll buy another 1 battery and another 2 chargers then i can charge all 4 at the same time at a caravan park or motel room, 1 night out of 4 is not too bad me thinks!!

Outside of the Accommodation, this is probably your cheapest option.

BTW - some info on inverters.

I use a 150W inverter, so @ 240VAC it produces 150W/240V = 0.625 amps. To calculate what that uses from the battery it's the same calculation 150W/12V = 12.5 amps. So you can see they use a lot of battery power to produce a little 240.

So you 240VAC SD2200 charger will have an input power requirement in amps (possibly Watts). Multiply that figure by 240 to give you Watts, then by the number of chargers you connect for the total wattage.
