Back into it. A little bit of color from the weekend.

Some pics I took of Saturdays gold, just getting back into it after a break over the winter, so far its been a good start to the season for me! Some nice little chunks there, quite impressed with the amount of coarse gold as its normally pretty fine stuff. Also a close up to really show the detail in the small pickers.

Sluicing with the mighty MacKirk!

Been a beautiful weekend weather wise and a fantastic time to be out on the creek! The gold was a bonus really!

I'm sluicing with a mate so we are splitting the proceeds down the middle, but we aren't killing ourselves to get it either.

Currently working on a highbanker build to eliminate all the hours we spend digging sieving and moving material from sieve to bucket to sluice.

Can I ask how often you clean it up?

I run about 15 - 18 x 12 liter buckets (fondant buckets from a local bakery) through it of 1/4 inch classified material but I guess that would really depend on the type of material you are running and how rich it is, basically I pull the pin when I see black sand starting to build up in the 2nd and 3rd last riffles, when its pretty well choccas.
