Took me a couple of trips to Hill End to get my first nug from there. Last time got one within 20 minutes of getting there, then no more for 3 days......

Gold can be tricky to find. I'm heading out to Stuart Town in a couple of weeks, hope I get a few little bits.

Thanks GP :Y: Only thing I taught GF was to turn it on...adjust volume....select all metal....ground balance and go :lol: :lol: :Y:
If it gets noisy reground balance :lol: :lol:
I recon it would go fine on two tone with a little iron notching but I didn't want to mess with my custom setting
Plenty of junk around to deal with but it did pretty well :Y:

Nice devils dice mate, Hill End has some other interesting minerals too. There are meant to be sapphire and diamonds there as well. I've found the area where there is good sized black spinel just sun baking and quite easy to pick up just speccing but haven't found any sapphires amongst it.

I was wondering if I chased some of the quartz would Smoky show up, or a nice terminated piece at least
I have found a few small pieces of terminated I think it's quartz but only small pieces
Those Devil's Dice are hard little buggers to find
