Might be fairly easy this one. Name the invention and the inventors.

The invention was patented in the same year that Patrick Hannan discovered gold near Kalgoorlie and I would have been seen in the goldfields of Coolgardie/Kalgoorlie area.

It was a very short lived partnership. One of the partners sold his share of the partnership in 1894 leaving the other partner to make improvements to the invention.
