A well told story that one Reefer.

I will try and find something and post it up later.

On 19th February 1942 Japanese forces attacked Darwin killing about 250 people and wounded about 400 more.
In total how many times was Darwin attacked?
Easily found fact but the number will surprise most.

I was surprised when I read that as well, I always thought there were only two or three attacks. It must have been terrifying for our troops and civilians up there, most of them never even had a gun and those that did had little ammunition. Your turn Willo.

Who are we??

We applied our chosen trade in an area that stretched from the Limestone plains to the coast between 1865 and 1867. We stole, robbed and murdered.

Close enough goldtruck59, The Clarke Gang, comprising Tommy and John Clarke, Pat and Tom Connell, William and Joe Berriman and William Fletcher, robbed and murdered there way around the Araluen and Braidwood districts.

The Clarke Gang. Outlawed, Outcast and Forgotten by Peter C Smith. A great read if anyone is interested in Australian bush ranging history.

yeah great read, make a good movie i reckon.Talk about ruthless..not the sought you want to run into on a lonely old road somewhere.

Thanks Willo

Yes its getting harder to come up with a question. I remember when I was quite active on this topic a year or so ago, all the last lot of questions were asked at that point. I remember asking about the stump jumper, the Clarke brothers and etc.
This question is a what am I.
I hope it provides a challenge and must be keep reasonably obscure early on to provide an adequate challenge to those keen on a hunt.

I was on my way to a booming Gold town who's main street I was to adorn , when the ship carrying me went down off of Perth.

What do you think happend to the prisoners in Fanny Bay Gaol when the Japs bombed Darwin?

Nearly all were released from prison, but a couple were later found in bomb craters, and had been shot.

Well i have no real knowledge of this but lets see if i can crack the cryptic approach of your Question.
A.booming gold town...Kalgoorlie!
B.Adorn main st....maybe a Clock?
C.not human but moving regularly....signals the above...i'll have a guess at The town Clock at Kalgoorlie

good guess reefer but Kalgoorlie's clock didn't end up on the sea floor. The name of the ship was the Orizaba.
This should do it.
