I'll give that one to you, the mine was located close to Castambul and Montacute in the Adelaide Hills ( both towns proclaim to be related to the first discovery, Castambul is located closer), the records for this particular mine show that it was the first gold discovery in Australia that resulted in an actual mine in 1846.

By the way, the second part of the question, what was the name of the actual mine itself - should be easy now! :)

Clandestine marriage. 16.) Stealing a shroud from a grave. 17.) Watermen carrying too many passengers on a certain river , if any drowned. 18.) Incorrigible rogues who broke out of prison and persons reprieved from capital punishment. 19.) Embeuling naval stores.
