I found the handle off of a Roman Centurions Helmet and a Roman Horseshoe and some Musket Balls from around 1461 from the Battle of Towton, Some friends of mine own the Land where the Battle took place, where over 200,000 Nutters decided to have a bit of a Blue, It was the Bloodyist Battle ever fought on British Soil, Even the Rivers run Red with Blood.

when roman coins are cleaned they never come up that clean and end up quite pitted because the silver is close to 100% Silver and is very soft, I have silver coins that are between 400 and 760 years old and they just don't come up like that.

Those flat surfaces either side of the head are perfect/uniform/flat, more like how modern coins are, Roman coins were struck with a Die and Hammer, Milled coins never came out until 1550 in france and in the UK in 1560.

Second that John :Y: ...Roman coins aren't round so there pretty nice ones

Are you going to buy from them  8)
  8)

Yes mate, Only last month someone posted about Fake Gold Ingots from the same company using the MINTS Good Name to trick people into believing that they were genuine.

I may not of found many nuggets over here but I have dug up a few Roman coins since I came over here and a few 12th century coins as well. I have even found a Genuine Roman fake Coin that is over 1600 years old, So these coins are no stranger to me.

John.
The problem is they Registered their company as a MINT.....Macqurie Mint  I've got some lovely Franklin Mint pocket watches...maybe he'd like to buy them :D Their collectable :D

They come with a certificate of authenticity from a reputable dealer if thats not enough what is?

Yes that they might but as B5MECH pointed in those links there are a few unhappy customers, and Only last month someone here posted about someone using the Mints Name selling fake ingots,

If you want send them $99.00 then go for it, But you should read the reviews first and think long and hard about it,

If you like them buy them, But I am pretty sure all those reviewers can't be wrong.

I have never seen any like that with the ones I have found or the ones I have seen in the museums., Gold Coins are another matter.

Just one thing I would like to point out, And that is you can buy Genuine Roman coins from about 50c to about $25.00, Only the Gold ones ramp up the price and there are loads of folks that sell them on Ebay over here and if anyone wants any I will get them for you and post them to you,

I normally give mine away to folks, I have about 6 or 8 here somewhere, the rest got stolen, They are nice to find but in money terms they have very little value, Unless you find a huge hoard of them then you will never get rich digging them up one at a time.
