Anyone from WA?

Hi! I'm looking for information on when the 'detecting season' starts in WA. I wanted to join Twapsters jaunt but work got in the way dammit! However, I should be able to get some free time early next year, probably late Feb through to mid April, and I would like to know what this time is like there. Would it be too wet/hot/ or otherwise difficult at that time of year?

Forget Feb/ April it is bloody hot over here then......
After Easter / early May is a better time thru till about now,
Though it is starting to get a tad warm 11 c overnight up to the late 20's early 30's tho some places are colder and some hotter
Most of the regulars head out mid to late May thru till now...
Just something to think about....

Agree with Nanjim, out in May, return late September early October.
A good indication, the vanners were escaping the increasing NW heat was the hundreds I met on the road heading South as I was driving to Geraldton this week.
