Anyone detected around Georgetown Qld?

Hi I'm new to the forum and at the moment in Georgetown.We have permission to detect on Lawnvale and Routh station.I wonder if anyone knows if it was only fine gold here as we haven't had any luck detecting the area .We know about Flat creek and Long gully stn Forsyth for alluvial gold.

Hi Annika
Yes there is Gold in your area, I detect Long Gully mainly, what you need is a bit of local knowledge!!!!
Once you have 10 post's I can pm you or you can pm me, I will be able to pass on some info that will be very helpful, I have not heard of Routh, where about's is it in reference to G/ Town.

I think there is a Glen Routh station out that way not sure if it is the same place though. An old friend of mine hunts out at Georgetown and does pretty well. Good luck.

I think GlenRouth is further up the pointy bit. I only know of it from mates who hunted pigs up there years ago. Cheers
