Hi all, been awhile since I've posted here. Just recently gotten back into prospecting and came across a couple junk "oddities" while re-visiting a small creek where I've had some luck in the past.
Detected a few of these within half a meter of each other (submerged under water at bottom of gravel). The top "bolt-heads" appear to be lead, but the pointy end rusty iron -- which has me stumped.
Who made them and what were they used for?
I know this creek has been worked for it's gold (on a small scale), but no historical records and not a lot of evidence left behind to indicate who/when. Hoping if someone might know what these are it could help me figure out approx. when the creek was worked and by who. Are they relatively modern... or more likely something "old-timers" had used way back?
Cheers!
