Another newbie

Hi all, been reading these forums a bit and some great people and information are here.
I live in Bowen qld so have good area to explore in a few hundred kilometre radius.
I am going to be doing a bit of park/ beach plus occasional gold hunting.

Welcome to the P.A forum Mickos, I've found some great info here & had some great help, you joined a very good forum.
What sort of detector do you use, for beach/park hunting I would guess a VLF would be your weapon of choice.

Thanks for the welcomes, I am in the hunt for my first detector as I write this but I am quite keen on a Minelab 70/ 705.
The more I research the more I think this detector will suit my needs as a "all rounder" although I know a jack of all trades is a master of none so to speak.

Gday Mick,... your on the highway mate(not that I'm travelling), but if you put out your best china, someone will probably drop in for a cup of tea(to be sure), plenty of travellers on occasion up and down the coast, you might even find one that will meet you at the beach and show you the ropes first hand.,.... welcome to the forum.

heaps of places to go
i said then if i lived there i would be detecting the beaches (infact i nearly funded a mates kid to do it for me)
go round during the day take note where the people are( photos help)
back later with the wand yer on a winner there mate get on it
