The stand alone cams Pay of.
and what did they take, well old coppers and silvers
out of a cabinet,
none of value,
I thought a rat would go for that trap.
how low can they go.

If you have footage & you know who they are & can prove it???? take it to the Cops & teach them a lesson, if your not going to do anything about it, move on.

Yeh that sucks Cheese, its even worse when its someone you know and trust!

Sometimes it makes you wish the law was 'an eye for an eye' just like in some of those middle eastern countries.

But i guess that would have its downfalls also!

Imagine being a parent in one of those countries?

You spend $30,000 on Piano lessons for your son.......he steals a loaf of bread and has his hands cut off! :p

Poor ******* is down the cop shop having his hands lopped off and they make him ride his pushbike home.

He is riding home down the street, his mums looking out the window, he says "look mum, no hands"!

Reckon you have probably gone the right way with the coppers Cheese, ( law not stolen items ) , these days you are lucky if you don't end up being sued by the thief for tripping over an empty stubbie or something. Twenty years ago it would have been something similar to Ryan's solution to the problem perhaps not so extreme , no forgive and forget , just hate and wait ! But too much litigation these days. What would hurt the most is if you not only knew , but trusted the guy , hope all works out ok.

Cheers

Yep friends that steal from you is like that cheating girlfriend of times gone bye, takes some time getting over that knife turning in your back.

Hope things are sorted out soon in relation to your property.

Upload the vid to Utube etc.
Someone will ID them faster than the Force ever will.

Hope you get your stuff back mate..
Cheers.

"Hi everyone this is Mustaffa, he has no hands,"
"Knock knock, who's there, well it ain't Mustaffa, he has no hands!!"

Hi Cheese and others
these oxygen thieves leave you feeling sick in the stomach as well as angry.
as an ex shop owner we found many of the shoplifters were regular customers.
here are a couple of ideas we found useful.
(1) zero tolerance, call in police no matter what.
(2) if thieves caught ensure you do victim impact statement and put in not only cost of lost property but also put a value on your time in following up, reporting, repairing damage etc.
(3) ask the police if they will put the recording on their facebook page. we kept finding empty packages hidden in store from a "skilled" thief, we search security system to get images. staff and police could not put name to face but after 20 mins on police facebook they received phone call giving details of person's name address etc.
(4) if you live in an area with a regional TV station try and get police to put the security footage on a "crime stoppers segment".
if everything fails, trust in Karma.
