Altercation at Kangaroo Flat

I just wanted to relay a story I saw on another forum. Somebody went for a swing down at Kangaroo Flat yesterday and seen 3 guys and a chick in their teens to early 20's smashing somebodies car up, so they stopped and told them to knock it off, the younguns threatened him so he pulled out his pick and they backed off. The 3 guys came back a bit later and started chucking rocks and using bits of wood as clubs, while he was busy defending himself one of the blokes punched his sister and knocked her down and grabbed her pick and tried to use it on the prospector, he had his and copped a bit of a gash on his forearm from blocking the pick from hitting him in the head. He swung his pick at the young bloke, but he was to quick for him. Anyway they racked off and the prospector called the cops who are now following it up. Just wanted to warn ppl to be careful and keep ya eyes out.

Lot of scumbags out there mate, and Wayne was lucky it was only a few cuts and bruises. Not the sort of thing one would expect while out prospecting.

I've had dealings with Wayne and he's a descent bloke and has helped out lots of people and to read his story really makes me mad that there are scum like that who attack good people. I hope they get caught and charged. There are a lot of things I'd like to write what should happen to those scum but I better not.

As much as it is hard not to get involved when scum prevail, it's always best to observe from a distance and take as many notes as possible. Discription etc, then pass it on to the police.

Actually I think it was today it happened, but anyway this type of thing is terrible. I jumped on the forum to let everyone here know what had happened because as rare as this kind of thing is, I'd hate for it to happen again to any one of us.

Thats the problem with the world today.....your not allowed to hand out the sort of punishment these grubs really deserve, or your in more trouble than they are!
