Hi guys
I'm am a fanatic prospector in South Africa. I can say that I have just about panned her out:)
Mostly with success and sometimes I go home with only god memories and remembrances of the most beautiful sites I have ever seen and had the pleasure of prospecting at.
I have been in more old mines that what I can count and i have seen more gold in one pan that what most prospectors will see in a lifetime.
My fondest memory was the day when I entered a old mine shaft an realized that the 16 ton rock above my head was still hanging by pure chance. As I was climbing back up the slope, i could actually feel the ground vibrate and thanked God when I reached outside again.

My motto is to leave no stone unturned.

I will be visiting Australia some time within the next 6 months. I don't have a destination yet and would like to know where you recon i should go. One thing I have learned was that by simply asking around, one can get to the gold much faster. I would love nothing more than to test my pan in your rivers.
Any suggestions?
:p
this i got from a 10tl bucket in about 30 min...

Wow! You guys have it tougher than you think... I was contemplating on visiting Au with the scope of moving there. But after having a look at your living cost, i decided to stay in the land of milk and honey.
Man, how can you afford to live comfortable? I see your house prices are very high, $800k for a very small place with no garden! And about $1.6m for a place that looks presentable yest offers hardly any garden.
Johny Walker Red Label is $37.00! I pay $18.00.
let me show you a for more comparisons:

$90k - 101 sq meter - The unit offers: 3 Bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and an open plan lounge, kitchen, dining area, a fair sized balcony, 1 garage, 1 parking.
$370k. 57sq meter - Property Type: Apartment Rooms: 2 Bedrooms: 1 Bathrooms: 1 Carports: 1
This is one of the cheaper places I could find in Au.

I would love to know what you guys pay sales reps. Our going rate is &500.00 per month, with around $200.00 for fuel and mobile phone as basic. Then we offer 5% commission on sales. This is a fair industry standard for guys who earn commission and a basic salary.
A junior manager (most industries) would earn around $2 000.00 and a 13th cheque.
A senior manager would earn around $2 500.00 to $3 500.00 per month.
My gold sells for the same price as yours but it seems I get a whole lot more for it!!!

Australia has VERY HIGH TAXES, thats why everything costs too much! ( Very bad government does not care about countries citizens ).

Western Australia is the best state for Gold, best done in Winter time.

Hi Allpannedout, welcome aboard mate. Yep we get ripped off with stuff here for sure. House prices can be a hell of a lot cheaper than what you've seen though. Depends where you want to live. In the big cities Melbourne, and Sydney, you're gunna pay big bickies. But for instance where I live is half way between Melbourne and Adelaide so it's a 4 or 5 hour drive to a capital, and the goldfields, but you can buy a nice 4 bedda brick and tile with a bit of backyard for about 300k.

Hi Mate,
No offense but if you can see, get this amount, Why do you want to live over here.
