Australia were looking to buy Raptors though the USA won't sell them to anyone else. We get stuck with F35's, we should have bought the Russian SU 35's.

I went to the last Air show at RAAF pearce a few years back (2012) Great day went with the old man. Look forward to the next and seeing the F35 regardless of what we should or should not have bought. These are a couple of my fav pics from the day.

Seen the raptor before and is always a good show but the 4th gen fighters to me are better to watch. Would love to see one going flat out but not aloud to for obvious reasons. Never get tired of seeing Connie B.W she's one of the most beautiful planes ever built. Loved seeing the refueling demo as never seen one before. Looked like a mother bird with its babies following closely . All in all a great day and managed to get out before the rush, only an extra 3/4 hour to get home.

Went to the Farnborough Airshow in the UK back in 94 as part of the RAF Nimrod maintenance crew (armament). Saw a lot of good aircraft at the show and some amazing fly pasts. A big bonus was it cost me nothing for the whole show and the Russians didn't crash anything that year. Never got to go to any of the Avalon airshows.
