LS, I was at Amherst last trip to Vic and spent about a week there. Everywhere you look it seems there could be gold in them thar hills, but I didn't find any. I tried in a number of places, Blacksmith gully, on the flat on the opposite side of the road, Picnic gully, Daisy hill, and a few other places, but really, I think its about looking outside the square. We all end up in the same spots detecting the same areas and we end up getting what everyone else gets...... zip. Yeh, I know, The Goldman, Phil daniels, I think from Coiltek will tell you that there has been a lot of gold come out of the area, but we all gravitate to the same spots. Try it by all means, but think outside the square and you could take home a really decent piece of gold.........I didn't, and I didn't. All the best TD
