Advice on a pinpointer

I bought a minelab propoint 15 2nd hand off gumtree and unfortunately i may have been duped. It picks and chooses when it works, it makes the noises when you turn it on but doesnt pin point for most of the time. Might take it in to the miners lab and get their verdict on it

Does anyone use the pin pointers? In all the youtube video's i've seen no one uses them?

I need to buy a Minelab Pro Find 35 Pin Pointer. Amazon have them for about $136. These should be safe to buy - ie not a knockoff?.

BTW - this price turned out to be USD - same price as buying in OZ.

You can get one for free if you buy a NOX 600 or 800 from miners den. Just sayin. layful:

Hi everyone.
I have the Equinox 800 and I am looking at getting a pinpointer.
I would just like to know what pin pointer best compliments the Equinox 800 as I have heard of people having problems with
some pinpointers causing interference and other problems.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Most pinpointer issues with interference are usually with PI detectors like the GPX.

Any trusted brand should be ok but plenty of opinion here:

I was just worried that some may cause interference with the 800 will probably go with one of
the Minelab range then.

We have 2x Deteknix - LOVE them !!

Kato keeps wearing out the protective point covers, works hers like a bulldozer so they are tough !

Also have the Quest Xpointer PRO submersible pinpoint

Xpointer Pro Submersible - is quiet too, but I"m sure it is because of its sealing from water, USB rechargeable is great value.

AND bought a MineLabs ProFind 25 - which I am not so happy with because the performance of the
Deteknix is a lot better in our evaluation.
Have to take it to ML to get it checked out, didnt know it was poor until I used it instead of the kids.
