Out of curiosity, lookin on ebay at the nuggets for the first time, someone reckons they found this beauty in vic, but the seller is from NSW.Just enter highest price first and there she is in all of her glory, whoever you are, ladyluck shone on you!!!

There`s one twice as big as that one with my name on it, just got to get down there and put the coil over it!!!

I think that is a huge premium; considering the price is based on total weight of a Gold Specie, presuming I understand the terminology correctly, as opposed to assayed gold content.

Does that mean I might get about 500 bucks for my biggest nugget I've found about 1.5 grm. Maybee there's hope for me yet.

Well if he/she found/prospected them, they are the damndest luckiest operators i've seen in a while.....

Meanwhile, 8 yrs and counting before i get my 1st 1 oz+ piece....soon, i'm sure it's coming soooon.

If it`s true that he found it in vic, then there just might be hope for us yet. If he`s got a few up there (on ebay), most likely working a claim and struck it big? Seems to be quite alot of quartz in the spec, $175000 seems a bit steep dont ya reckon?

I'm starting to get ALARM bells ringing. Only 3 feedback scores and ALL as a Buyer, not as a Seller....located in Nth Albury.

Only 1x activity in the last month and nothing for over 12 months for the other 2x feedback.

Hmmm, the plot thickens. Don't know about anyone else but I'd be VERY wary of this one. Anyone smarter than me able to do that reverse picture thingy to see if the pic has been used elsewhere?

Diggertom, you could be spot on there. I knew a furniture dealer who would ask WAY more than the real value of items, but always had other furniture displayed in his pictures.

He said it was the best free advertising you could get. He made all his money from the other items shown by selling them off eBay. Clever man.

BUT I must say I was surprised to see how much smaller pieces of gold are selling for at the moment.

Stunning specimen, congratulations to the finder. Lots of quartz in the big specimen, $70,000 would be a top price. I have sold a 46 oz solid slug, the handful of private gold nugget collectors and the dealers who sell in the worlds big mineral shows are the market. Putting the nugget on the forums and on ebay is what got these people coming to me.
PS, crystal clear images and specific gravity estimates of the gold content might help the sellers cause.

just looked through these, there's a whole lot of gold listed on EBay, and it looks very over priced, I wonder if people are actually buying this stuff?

Guess they must have read this as i notice there has been a discount applied as of tonight by $20K.
Guess he hasn't had any bites or only lowball offers.
