Hi RM, Carol said to let you know that she loves using it. Just the bungies onto the camelback and she does about 2 hours till she has a small rest. Doing about 4 hours in the morning and back home for lunch.

Loves the coverage, using the guide arm and loves how the coil pivots on the shaft compared to how it does on the SDC. Doesn't worry about changing the settings and loves how quiet it is compared to the SDC.

I don't think I'll ever get to use it again. :(

Cheers

Doug

It's good to be back on the gold now SA has opened up regional travel.
Got these in my home state SA, found 2 with the equinox 800 & 6" coil, 3 with the GPZ and 7 with the Monster 1000 & 5" coil.
Biggest is a grammer and rest tiddlers.

This is my stand in digging tool called "Slim". In my excitement to get back out detecting yesterday (Thursday 14th) I forgot to pack the pick. I was using the SDC and didn't have any real deep digs. All my junk finds were shallow shot gun pellets. The lever was okay for breaking up the dirt and my green scoop was a useful scraper. It was good to get out again. In a way it was good to dig the target slowly and note the soil colour and make up. i.e quartz, iron stone gravels etc.

Using the lever to chip and then scraping with the scoop I was alerted to the fact that both these targets may not be pellets because of two things. One was their depth and secondly the hardness of the ground. Two nice bits to start back. 0.722g and 0.382g. Now I have a starting point for next week.

Cheers Bob.

Hi everyone. Went out for my first post-lockdown swing yesterday. It had been a few months since I'd been out so it was great to get out there. I was cleaning up the bush one bullet at a time when I found these within a foot of each other. One was in a hole which had been kindly pre-dug by someone else!

I also noticed that there was almost no EMI and my machine was as quiet and stable as it's ever been. I think that's one of the reasons I found these bits. The small one is the smallest piece I've ever found (I've only ever found 10 bits and they're all pretty small). I was wondering if the lack of EMI was (at least in part) because there are no aircraft flying. I didn't hear or see one all day. What do others think?

nice day out sanguine, gotta be happy with those couple. the air up here in sunny qld seems to be much clearer than usual, especially at night, so i think less planes definately means less air pollution, and most likely less electrical pollution as well. it would be good if planes only flew once a week and kept our air cleaner for ever (and help you find more gold) win win!

Went back to the same spot where I found the previous three and found this one. This is now my largest piece (I told you I've only ever found small pieces). Looking forward to getting into the 1g club, let alone the 1oz club.

Still learning how to use the machine, but getting there!
