Out of curiosity mate were your nuggets deep or shallow?

The only patches I have found are other peoples old patches. Usually found because some lazy bugger didnt fill there holes. Luckily for me they were too lazy to follow a straight line as well

Mostly shallow...deepest one was the 4.75g at about 4 inches.

Gold comes in all shapes and sizes. This is the most unique piece yet. Not selling it. Do believe I'll put it in the collection. Found it this past Saturday just near our fire pit on No Gold Here Track. Yes, the place where we all like to congregate. .63 gram

Spent 5 solid hours yesterday afternoon working my backside off trying to find a bit of gold but came home goldless. Was very dissapointed in myself.

Managed to unearth a 1927 three pence so at least I found something of interest.

I decided this afternoon I would head back to Maryborough. Went to the servo and filled up with diesel. Just as I was pulling out I decided to turn the opposite way and try somewhere a bit closer to home. God only knows why I changed my mind at the last minute.

Anyway turned out to be a stroke of genius as I had my best days detecting ever picking up 7 bits of gold in 4 hours. Bloody stoked I can tell you. They may not be huge but I am rapt all the same. Took my tally to 77 pieces
All I need now is the big one!

I see many streams joining in an undulating valley that cross dark erosion pits separated by huge dark mountains (callous) showing the future is bright with gleaming au partitions.

I'm heading out for a day tomorrow and still undecided where to head to, hopefully I can just get the gut feel like some of us ......

We found this BSA Sprocket while we were out looking at old mineshafts today. From the research that I have done so far it looks to be a BSA 24 Skiptooth Sprocket of about 1940/50's vintage.

24 3 Patent 13696/99

Couldn't find the rest of the bike, could be down a shaft anywhere out here in the middle of WA. :lol:
