Hi Folks,

Went out again this morning chasing some little stuff with the SDC. Some of the pieces were so small that it was difficult to find them in the scoop. All 10 pieces came from a mullock heap within a square metre of ground. I think its time to get the eyes checked again and adjust the prescription.

Is 10 a typo or did you loose one, my eyes aren't the best but I can only see 9 . Nice finds either way :Y: sounds like it's worth revisiting maybe with a dry blower once the ground dries out .

Bugger......Thanks guys. Found it on the bench top in amongst the bread crumbs from a late lunch. It was just like trying to spot it in the scoop all over again. Well at least that improves the tally by 0.03 grams. Pretty impressive hey.......Well the SDC is anyway.

Todays finds from a trashy area
Havent been out for a week or two so I decided to go to a trashy area to see what I could find other than bits of lead shot and a car fuse wtf lol got 2 nice little nuggets 0.28 and 0.76 it a bad couple of hours

SC75; Wedderburn is probably the most thrashed ground on earth, when it comes to nugget hunting, and there u go, 10+grammer within a couple of hours, and your first time detecting there, you have to admit mate, you have some kind of special luck, coz there are people who live in that town and detect almost every day, yet would`nt find anything close to that size.
You`ll probably say something like ( i did my research, blah...blah) but lot of other people do all that and more, yet just don't have that success,( i`m just saying), anyway was a nice find again, and keep posting!!!

The weather forecast was pretty ordinary for the southern goldfields this weekend so I wanted to try my luck up north.
I always wanted to try out Wedderburn, Kingower, Dunolly area but kept on driving up to Wedderburn.
It was the first time up that way and I was surprised that there was a lot of rubbish in the area after about 2hrs swinging the big arse 19 inch I got a good signal.
only about 7 inch deep I dug a beauty little nugget

If Wedderburn is one of the most flogged ground in the GT I would like to try out Dunolly, Kingower,Moliagul,Talbot just to name a few.
There shouldnt be so much junk around if its been thrashed. I heard the story about that mick bloke finding a 80 oz plus nugget around Wedderburn and I can see why, if your finding junk you will find gold just got to dig everything. Maybe some prospectors cant be bothered but me I dig everything :rainbow: Im not saying you cant be bothered just in general.
I would like to find that retirement nugget to mate just keep trying I suppose.

Lovely piece, I've been in Wedderburn for a week now and haven't been able to find one of those. Scored about 30 odd little ones just can't score a good one.

30 odd little ones mate thats 29 more than me, well done :Y: thats a lot harder than finding 1 mate. Keep it up. The bigger one might come tomorrow
