That's prospecting Teemore, agree with SC75 it's a ripper.

Hope you have a speedy recovery and hit the ground running.

My haul from the Gold Bash. You'd think I run an SDC, but these were using a 4500!

Nice looking nuggets BigWave. That coil seems to be getting great results. I ended up with a Coiltek 14" Elite because it came with the second hand machine. I'll be looking for something else next time we go so that I can fit into tight spots. The 14x9" might be a good choice.

Hi MB, I've a swag of coils and am downsizing. My "goto" coil has until recently been the 11" Commander mono, however it seems that the 14*9" Evo has the advantage across the board - except possibly in very hot ground. I can also swing that coil all day without getting sore.
BTW, I reckon you've a cult following here on PA with your fantastic pictures and adventure trip reports mate - very envious

Awesome finds fellas. Gotta be happy with 4.26 for the day.
I went out to Talbot yesty for a look. Had a swing between the showers and keep cracking the shits with the plague proportion flies and mozzies. Bumped into a few other prospectors out there as well. Hope you guys cleaned up. I certainly didn't lol, 2 little ones, but better than none I spose

Great work davent looks promising 4gm for the day I'd find it hard to go home.

Nearly didnt go detecting at all, took 2.5 hours to recover my other mates quad bike after he rolled down a gully, and it was extreamly hot, detected for about 5 hours, then walked out, had a swim in the dam and sat in the shade for another hour before we left. Today im drained, and happy to be watching Tas v Vic in the cricket . Air con, couch, and me dog.....lazy day. Might get out there again next week. Found 6 nuggets in quick time, then nothing for about an hour and a half. Sat down and had a rest, drink and an orange, got up, went back to the holes I dug, and found another one right beside a hole I had dug before, then another 4.....and again nothing for about 45 minutes. Reckon if I had a rest, and started again where Id been, I probably would have got a few more, but it was time to go, to buggered.

Mate settings are different every time, this trip was pretty good for emi, no lightning around, and the ground was pretty tame.
Stab 10, gain 7, threshold just humming. This trip, I was in enhance, special extra. Audio normal, Still got odd bip here and there, but pretty stable.
Last trip I did, was on a patch only about 250m away, and I had to use enhance, special smooth, audio quiet, gain 7, stab 9, just to get a steady threshold, but I found gold with those settings, even a tiny 0.07 grammer.

As the day gets hotter, I sometimes drop my gain a notch or 2, there are little pockets of hot ground, about the size of a big coil, and some of them sound exactly like a target, and some start like a target, but then start to "groan" for lack of a better description. There is no way I can ground balance them out either. Sometimes, there might be a narrow stip of ground like this as well.
I fluked a a small water worn piece from a hot ground spot once, and noticed that the hard clay was much deeper than the rest of the holes I was digging. Thought I should take a bag of the dirt back and pan it, but my pack was heavy enough already, and I just couldnt be bothered!
