What I believe to be a larger Calcite Crystal ?
From a known location out near Mt Isa where Calcite was mined as a copper flux !
Will do a Mohs & SG test when I get home.
Biggest Calcite Crystal I have found !

Hi, just beginning our journey into this world...hubby and I found this among some other little bits and pieces around Oberon. It's only about 2cm at its longest, but it's very magnetic, and looks to have a small gemstone or some other section of a different composition to the main piece protruding from the end. Any help on id for this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
