Thanks for the info everyone on map shop, found it and got what I need to have look and some panning tomorrow in some of the areas mentioned on other posts.

Went to the local mining shop just down the road today in Cairns to buy local maps and the shop has closed!

New to Cairns and keen to go panning close by if anyone has some info to share. Been panning and detecting in Victoria a bit earlier in the year so have some experience but none around here.
