Ah now you see I ment to type MPF, I thought the F3 compact was MPF also, but it is not, it is MPS. my bad.

Minelab will say the internals are nothing alike, but I find it very hard to believe. Same start up tones, same threshold, same gay headphone jack, same emi immunity, same pi technology(mps), same amount of settings.

A guy always wonders what manufacturers have got cooking behind the scene. It's exciting to finally find out what these developments are. :)

It's good to learn the numbers of things you target and the common things you don't like. I use to try and guess the target before I dug it up, no matter what the numbers were. You soon get good at being able to pick and choose what to dig.

Maybe the seal is questionable and needs to be in top shape and clean to seal 100%, but you have to ask yourself, how many times would you use it completely submerged. I think that the ability to ping a $2 (and be confident to recover it) in amonst heavy trash far out weighs the ability to be...

Man, I have searched high and low for these sdc plugs. The closest to it that I can find is a Bose/lemo plug used on aviation headsets. I figured the plug would be for headsets that are commonly used in the military, with 3 of the 6 pins used for a mic.
