Angus MacKirk Sluice questions, information and questions

I have the Explorer. Very happy with it. Empties neatly into a bucket. Very forgiving on flow rate. Just adjust angle. With good flow, I classify with1/2" bucket sieve. Low flow 1/4". Big enough to keep you & a mate busy. One classifying one sluicing.

    On a budget

I got a GS10 aswell. Good unit, although, spend the extra $50 & get the spraybar model - you won't regret it. I bought mine before they did the spraybar option. So I've modded mine afterwards. Runs off a small 1" 2T pump no problems.

    Classifier sizes

I'm only interested in gold... Classifying drives me batty & only do so if I have to. Get yourself a couple of Garrett Pans. Pretty well illiminates the need for sieving in my opinion/experience. If you are highbanking, you shouldn't need to classify. The grizzly bars on the top hopper do the...

    Mufflers on two strokes

Jobskin, Can you post up a picture of this heater hose section? Or any more detail on the hose(Year model, V8/6Cyl etc.) I fitted a 2nd muffler to my little 2T pump which quietened it down a tad but made a big difference to the power & wouldn't rev out. It was a very free flowing canister type...

    Garrett 15" super sluice pan

Yeah, $50 delivered. Postage is a killer & funnily enough I was in Bendigo last weekend & could have picked one up... I already had a 15" Garrett pan but got an other one for a mate who did some work for me. He is super impressed with how fast the pan is to use.

Hi Guys, just new to the forum and prospecting. Bacchus Marsh area

Welcome to the site dude. Try Googling any creeks/rivers, localities/place names near you & the word gold or mine & see what comes up. That's what I do & it's worked for me. I do the same when traveling or visiting new areas. Good luck with it all

Yep, I went to Miners Den that day I rang you Beagle. - they advertise that they sell them but now they trying go away from them. They're a Minelab dealer & not a Garrett Dealer. Selling Garrett stuff was a conflict of some sort... A fortnight ago I ended up ordering via Detecta Den... Order...

    Aussie Detecting & Prospecting Bendigo

Heard a few ordinary experiences from others in the past too but my experiences have been fine. I've made a few purchases from Brad. One over the phone order (pan) - delivered about a week after ordering. Maybe 4 over the counter purchases (pin pointer, maps, pick etc.) no issues & price was...
