    GPR v GPZ ?

There are a couple of antenna that are specified in the 400 - 500 Mhz range with current tech that quote 4.5m depth and that locate <6mm objects. Obviously there are limitations, yet the GPZ is getting up there in price range now.

    GPR v GPZ ?

Since price is a hot topic at the moment with the GPZ7000 running $11000 plus coils guesstimated to be in the $1200 range. Is there now an argument for Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) ?

    Minelab GPZ7000 information and questions

All reports seem to be deep deep deep. Anyone run it on shallow settings? the utube vid of the guy comparing signals from 5K to 7K in normal PI depth range seems to me where it will pay off.

When you said F is a big clue I didn't think it would be that easy. Finally a question down to my level of education :) We all know Victorian Miners were instrumental in the modern union movement due to the Eureka stockade, what other significant event do we have to thank them for today?

    Minelab GPZ7000 information and questions

After reading a little bit about the ZVT tech in other places I think there will be major advances in the tech to come. This GPZ model maybe superseded quickly? I'm very much a noobie to detecting however I would have thought there was much more gold at depth, smaller gold that costs more...

Any gpz buyers concerned about being alone in the bush with 10k

TBH I don't think there is much to worry about in the Vic bush your always close to some populated area. Personally in vic it's the rednecks shooting anything that moves is a bit of a concern. Places in WA, NT and QLD where your literally on your own and wouldn't be thought of as missing for a...
