    DRONE ZONE

From my point of view the Mavic, but then I am biased, as I have one. It really depends on what you want to do with it. The Spark is like a little brother of the Mavic, but great as something to learn a bit more and take of view photos, etc. Phantom 4 has been a good machine and in all cases...

How busy the forum is atm.

I am guessing that most of the visitors are overseas folk having a gander. Does anyone (like admins/Harry) have access to their URLs to try and verify that as would be handy from an Admin point of view? Rob P.

    ON COLOUR

Looks like someone has a bit of spare time on their hands. But I must save some of this just in case I need it sometime :LOL Rob P.

    Today I COOKED.

My dad wouldn't have them called Hash Browns, as they were potatoe patties when he was a kid, and his family came from Ireland, so he and I have no problem with potatoe patties, just don't call them that Yank name. Rob P.

    Australian History

I thought that Mark Twain was American. Will be interesting to see how he relates to Australian history! Rob P.

Electric / Cordless / Battery Powered Chainsaw recommendations

Yep, my Stihl 140 has been used to do that. Rob P.

    Chain

It is called chaining and is simply a way to show your previous track and in so doing to optimise your search pattern. Not missing spots and not going over the same spot multiple times. Doesn't work too well in certain condtions of course, but when it works you can save a bit of walking. Edit...

    Solar Panels and Electricity Bills.

I have had positive and not so good returns as my charge in rate has changed from 63c/kwh on install to 23c. Not sure why but I think the 63c was an initial suck you in type deal for x years. But having said that, this last summer and on the low rate I started to get some $+ve rebates for my...

    Dowsing/divining for gold

The problem with the hollow hand grips is that you can make the rods cross (or go anywhere), just by tilting the hands. But, as a kid I could find U/G water using only one of these, just held in the hand without the plastic bits. I could tell how deep it was, if it was an UG stream and how fast...

    Using Computers While Travelling

You can have 2 plans, but as I said in my previous post, I have both the USB modem and the Mobile on the one plan and either one just uses the same data allowance. Rob P.

    Using Computers While Travelling

Alternatively you can get a USB modem (I have one from Telstra), and even have it on the same payment plan as your mobile. I do this as it allows me to be on the 'net and the mobile is also available to handle calls (in or out), as the USB modem has its own phone number, not that you need to...

Solar Panels - Information and Questions

Sort of, but not exactly, you are mixing up power (watts) and Volts. The solar panels, however many you have (12 in my case) connect to an inverter that will generate an output voltage to match the grid voltage and exact frequency (nominally 50Hz). NB: This matching the mains volts/freq, is...

    Appalling Crimes

I particularly like this sentence in your post, but it will be a tough job to change given the current social and political environment. Rob P.

Solar Panels - Information and Questions

Best to dig a bit further in your research and supplies terminology so we don't get off on the wrong track, as all the UPS's that I have worked on have usually had a battery. But having said that domestic solar systems that interface to the mains, use smart technology to synchronise the solar...

    Sorry

I also have the regular PSA test as part of my annual checkup, but the doc thinks that every 5-10 years the digit helps to know that all is ok as there is a bit of history of slight enlargement. No skin off my nose and I know that the doc wouldn't be doing it for fun. Rob P.

    Sorry

The finger is still used on a periodic basis (mine only 2 months ago), as previously mentioned as the blood anti test is not 100% reliable and confirmed by my doc. So if your doc is only using the antigen test, ask if he is happy with the %. Also I believe that some prostate cancers are slow to...

Which One to buy Pajero, Prado or Patrol?

So very true. Best to talk to people on a "random" basis, and even friends can be hard to believe at times as they won't fess up that they have/had a lemon. Rob P.
