On my last prospecting trip I found a few interesting rocks, one in particular caught my eye. It looks and feels a little like metal however it's non-magnetic and if I was to have a guess, I'd say it's not metal of any sort but I could be wrong though. It's probably around 3/4 the size of a 5...

That's awesome Spud. You'll be cleaning up in no time I bet. Try and reach out to the engineer of this marvelous creation (Wal AKA WalnLiz), I'm sure with very little persuasion he'll offer to show you the ropes or at least point you in the right direction. I hope your health improves.

16 days is ridiculous. I find it funny how two items can be sent on the same day, one from just up the road and the other from a different state, yet the interstate freight manages to up before the local stuff does :/

lol, I've heard of some nasty incidents with crowbars, hitting people in the face etc, I'll try and be careful with it but no promises though hahah :D

I picked up some new crevicing tools today from Supercheap, so I thought I'd share them with you guys :) 36" Bedrock Splitter 20" Probe (AKA Screwdriver) - I'm hoping to get the end bent into a hook shape. 2 other crevicing tools I'm looking forward to testing them out this weekend.

Thanks Cracka. I'm pretty sure my Grubsteak had the same as yours, thumbscrews + rivets but I just couldn't recall if their was a washer on the bottom (I don't think it did). I read somewhere online that some AM's come out of the factory with the brace fitted and then in other cases the dealers...

Can anyone please confirm whether or not the aluminium rock brace has washers underneath (sluice underside) for the rivet to bite into? For some strange reason the Recon II doesn't come standard with a rock brace so I'm in the process of installing some. An under body photo of any Angus McKirk...
