    SteveG's videos

Good go mate. :goldnugget: That footwear had my focus more than those beaut nuggets  10/10 for the video and 11/10 for the brave "soles" wrapped in those open toes. Love it. Definitely the sorts of pieces that would get my motor running, chunky free gold and some nice specis. Thanks...

    Issue with GM1000

Definitely worth the dig mate, hell of a clunker had it been the right metal. Anyhow if your out there digging your as good a chance as any. Best of luck to you mate, maybe the next one hey?

Difference between VLF and PI metal detectors

Not stupid but youll have to have a happy go lucky attitude and not be discouraged easily. Mild ground, high recovery, all metal. For Gold a GM might have been a bit more suitable, but both need a can do attitude and a bit of patience. You could get on the gold for less than a grand with the...

    Issue with GM1000

Could be solid object rusting halo response. This would be enough to confuse it. Some gal and deep rusting objects will ring up high ID on my vlf until recovered then fall into the low (steel) numbers.

    ⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

Haha easy to say I would have hit it because I didnt have a walk, but nothing subtle about the sound from the Zed. Whatever the outcome beats digging junk. If it was on Sportsbet Id take it at $2 odds for a golden target.

    Gold Kruzer questions...

The truth is both a false positive and positive can give you a threshold break. But let me start back a bit with vlfs. If you have a treasure detector the theory is the signal calibration is generally set to a known size target and the id will be shown as an intereptation that appears as a...

    Television

Used to go to Calder to watch nationals every year, those top fuellers are something else. In the early days before public liability and such nonsense you could lean in on the ropes around the all the vehicles and every now and again they would fire up a top fueller engine and have us all in...

South Coast NSW Weather advice and information

Just as an aside was shown an app called Live traffic NSW, which gives a pretty good real time alert on a map for road closures, roadworks etc. According to the person who recommended it they thought it pretty accurate so maybe be helpful for someone.

    Snake sightings, encounters and reminders.

Brown babies are out for sure, several people have mentioned to me in last 2 weeks, and had a standoff with one whilst using the whipper snipper only Sat before last. If the browns are getting about then they will all be on the move.

South Coast NSW Weather advice and information

Cheers Grubstake this was the exact reason I was asking. Usually I would go in summer at least every second year, and around the same time checking on bushfires and storms. Through commitments and Covid Ive not been up for 4 years. If a big one was coming thought the locals might be able to...
