    G'day Rob...I haven't used a Minelab harness since SD2100 days...they just dont work for me....try a 'day pack' back pack...get a comfy one that doesn't cut into the back of your neck and see how ya go.

    Hi Phill....yep....but pulling some samples out of the wall and dollying will cost you nothing.

    My thoughts go along like this.........reach down carefully and remove some in situ material off the stringer....dolly and grade it.....repeat at the various shafts and where the QTZ outcrops (you have the line of strike)....this will soon give you an idea of what your dealing with. I am sure...

    How good are our fancy new metal detectors?

    I do. Basically...less is more. We run our sensitivity lower and trust the electronics. I have a youtube vid on it if your interested. The principle is the same for all the pi detectors.

    It's only one opinion Phil....but I would say your threshold is way too high...we run ours at around 10 o'clock for 99% of the time. It still arks up from time to time but overall runs fairly smooth...it may be worth a try???
