this is my latest creation, a big Bowe Knife (Letter Opener), just finished it this morning. make from 5160 spring steel, hardwood handle scales and white ABS plastic/pvc liners and brass pins keeps me busy and something to do cheers dave

This is my kiln and setup, it pours 2 oz bars and the kiln made from Hebel Block they do wear out and disintegrate eventually from the heat, but for the cost of $13 for a block 600x200x200 and you can make several out to it anyway

yep your right about the Inverter type mig welders they are great, mine is the WIA 250i mig stick tig, well you know you've seen it 👌

and a little bit of Mig Dip in the back of the mig tip helps the wire feed a bit better for a little while, usually cleaning the mig tip with a tip cleaner also works wonders 🤔🤫

you can do it either way, sell to a refinery be it Perth mint or PW Beck, they all take native gold nuggets or fine panning sluiced gold or melted into "Buttons", it makes no difference to them as they refine whatever you send to 9999 pure, and either pay you for the actual gold that they refine...
