Thought I'd post what I managed to pull out while I was down there. 8 bits of sapphire (the two decent sizes both bombs) 10 small bits of something olive coloured, a heap of clear quartz chunks (a couple of possible zircons i have to check) and some good sized spinels. Will definitely be back...

I'm out here for work so popped into Sapphire Bend this arvo for a look, every hole is full of water. The double edged sword of it is that you can't see what you're doing but the digging is a million times easier with soaked ground!

Cheers Jaros! Have been sapphire fossicking for a couple of years now but am started to do short trips more regularly, and am also starting to look at branching out into other minerals etc. Tell you what there's no limit to the possibilities!! What a great way to spend time in the bush too!
