    Getting around 3 to 4 specks every half a cup of wash. Some of the quarts also have specks on it..

    Thanks reeks, the area has no granite, it's mainly white sand with pipe clay and white quartz.

    G'day all. I'm only new to this hobby, and I wouldn't mind if someone can help. I was doing some panning for the first time in some sandy/white quartz matrerial and I come across what seems to be gold flakes but there only gold on one side and black on the other. Is this what they call fools...
