Minelab New detector and advice please - Equinox & Vanquish

Probably cant go wrong with either machine but I would say monster just for the fact you already have the Nox. They were very similar on all the targets I tested. While I found 2 nuggets solely with my equinox I swung both machines over every target to get a feel for the Nox and its definitely...

    ⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

It's good to be back on the gold now SA has opened up regional travel. Got these in my home state SA, found 2 with the equinox 800 & 6" coil, 3 with the GPZ and 7 with the Monster 1000 & 5" coil. Biggest is a grammer and rest tiddlers.

Equinox 800 vs old detector like the SD2100 & eureka gold. New or old?

Would also depend on the area you plan to chase gold. Vic old timers workings can be good with newer vlf's chasing tiny gold others have missed but I wouldn't be using one in the open areas of WA where a PI is king. If your only targeting gold and not coins I would chuck a GM1000 into the mix...

    Detector Dilemma!

I upgraded from the 4500 to the zed. Haven't looked back, it's a brilliant machine. I had the same concerns about "what if a new model comes out and my investment becomes half its value" I dont see anything knocking the 7000 of the top gold platform for a while, and the only wrong decision is...

    LORD's EquiNox 800 finds

I dont think there was ever any structure Clodmaster, all 3 of the coins came from the same small area and very shallow. Ground must be favorable especially being coppers too. Definitely have to spend more time exploring there next trip to the big smoke

    Noise Cancelling Headphones For Detecting?

Cheers, guess my "good" idea isn't that great lol I'm probably getting a set anyway for personal use and travelling so I'll report if I end up trying them

    Noise Cancelling Headphones For Detecting?

I am looking at getting some noise cancelling headphones, specifically the Sony WH-1000XM3and was thinking if these would work while detecting. I would plug directly into my SP01 so guess delays in the latency would not be an issue.

    South Australia Teetulpa area

Yep spot on, didn't know if it was still called calcrete here in SA but it's hard enough that needs a whack with the back of the pick to break up but not as hard as rock. Almost like sandstone conglomerates. Think area needs a bit more of a look but wont get a chance for quiet a while, it's...

    South Australia Teetulpa area

Managed to score 8 small pieces, one was the specci which I smashed out. Most of the diggings appear to be on leases unfortunately but theres plenty of quartz hills in between which would hold some bigger peices I reckon with more time to explore. Was just over 2 grams total, found 1 with the GM...
