Request for Feed Back on Subaru Outback or Forester Experiences

Hi John.... I have been using Drifta drawer and kitchen systems for all my vehicles and campers for years. These guys can design and build any custom setups you care to imagine and made to last. Have a browse through their website and you’ll see what I mean. https://www.drifta.com.au/4wd-drawers/

Yeah, that Wilderness version would be the bee’s knees mate... if only I could afford one. :p. As far as the CVT trans is concerned with the latest models I think they have beefed them up for better reliability.... anyway with a new one you’ll have warranty if you have trouble. The earlier...

I think most people would do a service before or after going outback....🤔

I have one identical to the one in this YouTube clip. All I can say is they are very capable off road. Just shoe them with some good all terrain tyres and they will get you where most 4x4’s can go. Ground clearance is their only issue, but with a lift kit you’re good for most conditions.

They could have been worn as toe rings and removed by the wearer before going for a swim.

That’s right eldertofu.... it’s definitely a “tickler”or “jiggler” to do just as you describe, to add some fuel when cold starting.

It’s certainly good fun tracking down the identity of these old abandoned relics we unearth... what a story they could tell. Here’s a pic of a restored one.

A fair bit of speculation on this one, but I reckon @eldertofu is on the money here. I managed to coax out the two protruding bits and one is/was a primer push pin to lower the float to add fuel to the carby bowl...... early 1900’s motorcycle.

    Solar storms/ space weather:

Thanks Matt, I recall that thread of BW’s back then... it’s amazing the leap in technology in those six years since. Btw, haven’t seen BigWave for ages....

    Solar storms/ space weather:

I came across this YouTube channel which forecasts solar radiation events and found it quite interesting. It may help with understanding those terrible emi days where you just can’t quiet down your machine. It’s like the weather channel for space junkies. https://www.spaceweatherwoman.com/

    Tibooburra Gold.....a beginners "El Dorado."

Just back from a fantastic 10 days camping on Mt. Stuart station. The gold is getting harder to find consistently, but who cares when you are kicking back with mates around the camp fire with a good red and waking up to magnificent sights like this.

    ⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

Just back from a week in lovely Tibooburra. The weather was great except for some unexpected steady overnight rain one night which curtailed our movements the next day or so. Here’s the sunrise the morning before. Not much weight to come home with, but its just icing on the cake
