Ok brand new at panning taking my mine lab kit, hoping to head out towards Mudgee or hill end maybe hargraves Im packing the big mine lab manticore and the any tips or suggestions .. has anyone else tried the manticore out for gold .. ive just done an update but before i did it wasnt detecting the small gold sample i burried to test .. when i have a minute ill see if it will this time .. and setting suggestions?

What size coil/s do you have for the Manticore?
Need a pi machine for gold otherwise you wont punch through the hot rocks
The smaller coil would probably be the best one to use. People using the similar multi-frequency Minelab Equinox 800 detector to search for gold, have reported some success using the smallest Equinox coil.
