Why I like Temu.
Not to do with prospecting but pictured are some 3/8” stainles steel spikes that screw into the bottom of the Carbon Fibre tripod for my astronomy gear. The original spikes were lost or misplaced and I needed them to stabilise the tripod on potentially slippery surfaces.
Eventually had to order a set from the US based tripod OEM. They cost me $60 to have delivered.
Scrolling through Temu last week and saw these, exactly the same, for $1.70 each ($5.40 set of three). Kicking myself that had not seen them earlier, but still ordered a set as they are small things often lost when setting up and dismantling telescope gear.
Additionally got them with free delivery because we had bundled a number of Temu items together to qualify for the free delivery.

Yes you can't complain about the prices but I haven't bought much since they brought in the minimum purchase total. I've been buying of Aliexpress for a better deal.

I didn't actually buy these, Miss Kay bought them a couple of weeks ago, but she reckons it's just about the best $15 she's ever spent, they're microwave oven toasted sandwich makers, and they make the best toasted sandwiches I've ever tasted. She bought 2 of them from Kmart for $15 each. They come apart for easy cleaning in the dishwasher.

While I was in Perth I went shopping for new batteries to replace the Solar King 100AH lithiums. I found Bunnings had the Volt-X range for $280 each. I just couldn't resist them at that price. I only ordered two because they had to be ordered on Marketplace and I had them delivered to the hanger at Jandakot and I didn't want to risk losing four.

Before leaving home yesterday for our fossicking trip I decided to order the other two with free delivery to Cue. I think somebody must have woke up to their error because the price is now $649 each. I ordered direct from Volt-X and grumbled about the price increase so got 10% off. I didn't want to spend that much but with the keen price on the first two the overall price for four was still good.

All the little tins of those seafoods that I've seen are Chinese now - I don't know if that was always the case or not. I have a memory of similar seafood in small jars from Spain or somewhere else in Europe, but I can't find them anywhere.

I used to regularly buy sardines and they were a "Product of Scotland" then one day I noticed the country of origin had changed to Poland, which I didn't mind, so I still kept buying them but I only bought them when they were 1/2 price at 1$, I haven't bought them for a couple of years because the price nearly doubled after Covid, I'll have a look next time I'm in the supermarket and check the country of origin now.
