gold panning equipment for beginners

Hey guys ,

I am wanting to set myself up with everything i need to do some gold panning.

what should i be buying to start myself buidling myself a panning kit?

any suggestions of websites, equipment, resources ext would be greatly appreactied

Probably the easiest way is to start off with a kit like these or put together similar gear yourself if cheaper:

Also a good shovel, pick & 20l bucket for collecting material to pan.

If you're handy with DIY stuff, there are a few bits of gear for collecting deeper samples for panning you can make relatively cheaply.
Things such as yabby pumps and scrapers are all useful tools when collecting your material for processing.
Info on various tools can be found by searching the forum on terms such as crevicing, yabby scraper etc
