Angus and Coote have a Mint Gold Sovereign Pendant too....that would be a shame too lose
I think by iffy he means he usually only cherry picks the goldies  ...Dam bad habit of mine...goldies PD'S and silver  Party high tone zone
The bezel possibly would be 9ct gold and the Sov 22ct so could have sounded like a 30 cent piece
Gota get in the habit of digging all small solids without getting pissed at another zipper head

"Thanks K cool thumbsup ...Some of those turned into a white ghost yikes ...Had to spend my whole bag of tricks lol

Not sure what's going on with the S&V, I put heaps of salt in and leave for an hour or 2 and they seem pretty much the same. I find Citric acid and Bi-carb rub after work better.Might even try zapping a few ]:D

I don't bi=carb rub anymore unless there toast :N:   It leaves micro scratches :/ :(
The ghosting I finger rubbed between dry sweaty :p fingers and in my shirt then resorted to an ear bud and a glasses rag
Idea being trying to use natural useage wear to make it look handled ;) :Y:
The grey is a ..... .....I won't foil wrap a coin now either  a sea urchin with no hope maybe
I hit em all in hot CAB first and only go to S&V as an extreme, sometimes it takes ages for it to work :/
The electric chair scares me  I always believe it will leave pitting behind
Those ones were like trying to clean coin that got dropped in melting tar then feathered

Nice silver pendant, and a wee one at that. Electrolysis works good, only need to run it long enough so that the black coating starts to come away with a light rub - only on .925 silver of course. Though I rarely clean my .925 silver coins these days, only the 50/50 coins cop a cleaning when I can be bothered. ;)

Thanks GP  :Y: ...All the ****tube vids I watch they butcher the coins to death  :/ Can't believe I watched someone fry a Cartwheel penny
One guy showed the mark the clip left on a copper he only cleaned a little
I'd use it on a rusty pocket knife or something the like but don't think I'd want to sacrifice the time and coins to find out
Everyone seems to use phone chargers but I would think that's too much power for a tiny little coin  ...Maybe 1.5 volts or even less
The 44's in the grey zone  ..... ...... :/ ........ ...Don't like the dirt it came from....Think I'll stick to Swamphuntin....

Definitely not retired !! The park I worked that morning has been done over lots....its relatively clean, few ring pulls etc. I just was having a poor morning and thought - no. I don't want to dig another one..but I turned back..certainly was a recent drop.

Bit of a look around at a spot already hammered by everyman and both of his dogs    ....Maybe the dog was the swinger

Well done mate. Hmmm that ruby certainly does have pretty much the right colour for ruby. Put a uv light over it if you've got one. If it flouresces it just might be, or a manufactured ruby. :)
