Here are a few of my older non detected coins from my collection, most of which were passed down from my Grandfather.

Top left and right are US 1943 silver half dollars, top centre are a British 1951 Half penny & a 1938 South African 1d.

Bottom left to right are a US 1936 Mercury dime, New Zealand 1947 3d, Ceylon (Sri Lanka) 1920 5c, 1933 10 Swiss francs, and a 1941 South African 3d.

Hope you like them, and feel free to post your own. :)

Wrapped up in the pink tissue is an old British Half Farthing from 1844 that came down my Fathers line through me and will continue down like that into the future.

I just love little old tin match boxes that hold more than old matches.

Nice one, would love to find a half farthing/farthing, it looks to be in great condition. The containers are also a great collectable in themselves.

This is the container that my coins came in, an old G.J.Coles tin.

Noodled a poodle Nightjar,...nice coin,..if only it had turned out to be a golden retriever.

Found these two stragglers on the footpath a few months ago.
I believe the coins were originally minted in 98% silver but looking at the shine on the 128 year old coin me thinks it most probably is a re-stamped coin
They have a "tinny" noise to them when hit together. Im still undecided as to what they are made of. Does anyone have any ideas on how to test?

Lol.... yes Santda they were literally in the grassy end of a footpath in a little red pouch with a drawstring.
I just got a glimpse of the red pouch as I walked past it
You dont find too many things lying on the ground for too long living in Sydney.....

Pretty cool coins, I wish more people left coins in bags around the place, and in just as good condition. :)
