ok a few have been following this modification and the main objective of the rebuild was to make the rocks fall of the grizzly bars by them selves
to save 500 hundred scrapes a day, while maintaining the original angle of the top run to keep the material in the spray zone to dissolve the clay etc.
the reason for staying with grizzly bars is the banker also comes sapphiring occasionally .
the rebuild also grew into the fitting of vortex dream mat which involved extending the lower run.
so we will start when the banker was just a pup and this is how it looked on arrival :
I instantly saw a few issues and made changes to the riffles to get a proper clamp on the mat to stop underflow and a few other odds and sods
:
first day out showed me a few things firstly was wet ballz so a guard was made which is also good at catching wild shovel loads
secondly I was impressed with the crate and decided to extend and widen to reduce velocity and give me a area I could pan out separate
as the banker hit its adolescent years I fixed the restriction of 20mm pipe and elbows into the banker which has halved the pump load and now I get heaps of pressure at 1/8th throttle and use less fuel :Y:
sssshhhhh this is my biggest tip for anyone running twin side spray bars . get new risers and drill the holes at a 45degree angle towards the rear of the box this will tumble material against the rear of the box instead of it just getting flushed straight out and almost eliminates all clay balls ( I can run enough pressure to clean my finger nails out instantly )
part 2 is coming now just give me time type it .
