Metal Detector Lower Shaft Universal Fit?

Hey there, hope everyones having a cracker out there metal detecting.

I was wondering if the lower rods for metal detectors were universal? I am missing my lower rod for my gold bug 2 and am having trouble finding a replacement, does anyone know if there are other brands that lower rods fit a gold bug 2?

I suggest take your GB to your nearest prospecting store/dealer & see what they have that might fit

In case it helps, a GB2 lower rod looks like this:

I suspect any Fisher lower rod would probably be interchangeable - they all use a distinctively thin bolt to tighten the coil flanges against the rod.
